Dr. Aldi – The Wellness Empoweress
Aldila means Beyond….
Dr. Aldi is a qualified aromatherapist, skin care therapist, and registered doula, who holds a Phd Alt Med. Yet, more than that; she’s a wellness practitioner specialising in self-empowerment and wellness integration and refers to herself as a wellness empoweress and igniter.
Her life journey has taken her on many diverse roads where she keeps discovering different aspects of herself. She firmly lives and believes in the concept of personal growth through self- mastery.
Her first career started as an aesthetician, aromatherapist and reflexologist owning her own skincare clinic for many years. She later embarked on a completely different journey, where she worked in the coatings industry at her father’s company to help with the demands of the growing business. She was the operations manager of the paint manufacturing facility and later integrated into an operational consultant specialising in systems implementation for various small businesses.
Needless to say, the experience gained during that season of her life, has proven invaluable. She uses the all of knowledge acquired in the Aldila Brand on a daily basis. One of her greatest lessons remains that of patience and trusting that everything is as it should be. Nothing one learns is ever in vain, an insight only acquired later in her life.
During the corporate and operational years, her son Marcus was born. He was 5 months old when Aldila decided to leave the marriage. Overcome with severe post natal depression and a colic, autistic infant, she started to search for ways to help her and Marcus with the challenges they were going through after his birth and the divorce. The inspiring and true story has been captured in the book written by her and released in 2021 called ” When the Fairytale Shatters”.
Aldila completed various studies in Theta Healing with Nianell, Colour Therapy, Transpersonal Numerology and Access Bar Therapy to name a few. She became a seeker in a world where she felt completely isolated and alone with her and Marcus trapped in a vortex of pain and misunderstanding. Instead of letting the fear break her, it created a spark, a drive and a purpose because of the love, hope and fighting spirit Marcus ignited in his mother.
That “dark night of the soul” she often referred to lasted more than 6 years. There was however, a light at the end of the tunnel. The dark night invoked a flame inside of her to find her inner strength of empowerment and to integrate everything she has experienced in her life and career in create an integrative process of healing for her and Marcus, navigating them still through many tests, trials and daily tribulations, even today when the storms of life occur.
The relief and healing experienced created a deep desire to support, help and assist others in finding their inner power and through her teachings, Dr. Aldi aspires to get the message out there that, we are not alone in our journey.
Divine circumstances led her to open Cormaderm Wellness Practice in June 2020, right in the middle of the Corona Virus Lockdown! It was indeed a massive leap of faith but a lifelong dream that finally came true and has turned out to be one of the biggest turning points in her life thus far.
Throughout her life, she has had to learn to be brave and choose her dreams and happiness over what she perceived as family duty and responsibility according to the norms of society. Stepping into a calling through healing and empowerment, set her “embarking” on something she had never thought was possible.
In embracing what she feels to be her true purpose; to serve and support others on their journey to healing and emotional freedom is certainly no easy task. Many hardships, challenges and also beautiful experiences motivated dr. Aldi to develop her own integrative processes towards well-being in all facets of life, which she now shares on her Embark Membership Journeys and teachings.
2 Years after opening the wellness practice and working in the hospital, becoming a Doula, Dr. Aldi quietly started yet another company. The Aldila Beyond Wellness brand was born from the practice, due to the awareness that there is a massive gap between science and soul.
Dr. Aldi was privileged enough to have a front row seat during the Covid time and gain first hand knowledge in learning the integration between the medical field and the holistic side that so often lack in a clinical and medical environment. Those very intense years gave birth to Embark and is referred to her as her time in the “dessert” where she received her true education through observation and first hand experience. She truly saw and experienced first hand what bodies and the human spirit is truly capable of in the times spent in ICU, maternity wards, Hillbrow MOU and hospital wards.
These very intense and overwhelming experiences led her to start her research into trauma and the link between emotion and illness. Somewhere in the midst of all of this, Aldila Beyond Wellness was born. It was 5 years of tireless work, research, effort, blood, sweat and tears. Pushing through what she thought was the impossible, out-created itself within 18 months into a wellness brand with heart.
Developing her own healing modality called LITER ( Limbic Intuitive Trauma Emotional Release) therapy in combination with the 31 EMBARK aromatherapy blends she refers to as Elixirs became an easy, exiting, inspiring and integrative way to support patients through various traumas and stages they are going through in her life and the results encouraged her to complete her PhD.
At the end of 2025, she achieved her Doctorate, PhD Alt Med and decided to fully immerse herself into the Aldila brand. After months of inner strife and turmoil, she decided to let go of her “cling to the past” and practice and, to take yet another leap of faith into the future, leaving her dessert years behind for now.
Embracing the bigger picture, she closed her beloved practice that served as the Research and Development Jewel for the Aldila Brand and Embarked on a whole new world of wellness, yet again, deciding to embrace the unknown, older, stronger, wiser and healthier on many levels.
A dream is a wish your heart makes, and it is believed that Aldila Beyond Wellness will continue to grow as she is destined to without a limiting outcome or expectation. The brand has always developed divinely and magically without ego and control KNOWing what will be in the highest and best for all involved.
Now, a solid national brand, serving the whole of South Africa via the online store, integrating the magic of the Embark Brand and Aldila Wellness products, dr. Aldi still keeps the personal touch through her Embark Membership and has a connection with every diamond purchasing an Aldila “trommelkie”.
What else is possible BEYOND what has never been considered? Aldila wishes to launch on an International platform in the future for all expats living outside of South Africa. She wishes to launch many more books specialising in maternity wellness and emotional trauma and healing.
She will continue to dive deeper into the world of aromatherapy, keep growing the Embark Brand and continue with her teachings online to empower all those who wish to heal. Not only for themselves, but for their family and future generations. The flame keeps burning and the light keeps shining, no matter what. We will see where Aldila the Brand will be taking us into the future as we strive to live in the moment and integrate this season of her life with wisdom.
It is Aldila’s dream to become the bridge between science and soul and to capture the true essence of the Beyond Wellness Crede – Knowlege is Power but Intuition is Potency.
